Cornerstone provides industry leading technology that significantly maximizes the recovery and beneficial process use of targeted organics from MSW and agriculture derived feedstock resources. Cornerstone's BurCell® System fractures the organics, kills pathogens, and produces a more homogeneous feedstock that will enhance the production of biogas, sugars and organics derived bio-products.

- Cornerstone's BurCell® System processes MSW without the use of high energy steam, while maintaining the purity of the organics and also ensuring that we do not deform the low density plastics, which in turn improves the ease of separation of metals, plastics and organics
- Cornerstone's BurCell® System can utilize low-grade, untreated leachate and/or storm water to process the MSW and thus does not depend on the availability of expensive, treated water sources or any costly feed water pre-processing systems

Future of MSW Processing
An enormous amount of energy is locked up in waste streams that are diverted to landflls. In fact, the Phyllis database compiled and maintained at ECN in the Netherlands (Energy Research Center of the Netherlands), estimates that, on average, a ton of MSW with Plastics contains a net of 11Million BTU's of energy. Cornerstone Resources' BurCell® System makes it possible for operators and stakeholders to recover a significant percentage of that energy by now being able to convert the MSW processed by Cornerstone's BurCell® System into higher value products. Additionally, the process will allow for the recovery of a clean mixed plastics that can be utilized for energy or product production.
